Main reasons for stomach cancer
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection: This bacteria that causes stomach ulcers and other diseases can lead to stomach cancer if left untreated for a long time.
Dietary habits:
Excessive consumption of pickled foods, dried fish, and salty pickles.
Eating very little fruits and vegetables.
Not storing food properly.
Smoking and alcohol: Smoking increases the risk of stomach cancer. Alcohol can also be a trigger for this.
Family history: If someone in your family has had stomach cancer, you are more likely to get it (genetic factors).
Other stomach diseases: Long-standing gastritis, stomach polyps, or those who have had previous stomach surgeries.
Age and gender: The risk of developing this cancer increases with age. It is more common in men.
