Main causes of increased uric acid

Dietary habits (High Purine Diet): The main cause is excessive consumption of foods rich in purines:

Red meat: Meats such as beef, mutton, and liver.

Seafood: Some fish such as shrimp, mackerel, and sardines.

Alcohol: Especially beer, quickly increases the level of uric acid in the body.

Sugar: Fructose, a sweetener found in soft drinks and bakery products.

Kidney function: When the kidneys are unable to remove uric acid from the blood efficiently, it accumulates in the blood.

Obesity: Obesity increases the production of uric acid in the body and prevents its excretion.

Medications: Blood pressure medications (Diuretics) can cause increased uric acid in some people.

Heredity: Some individuals are genetically predisposed to produce more uric acid in the body.

Other health problems: Diabetes, thyroid problems, psoriasis, etc. can affect uric acid levels.
