Knee Pain is a very common health problem today. This problem, which is found in both the elderly and the young, has the following main causes:

Main Reasons for Knee Pain
Osteoarthritis:
This is the most important cause of knee pain. As we age, the cartilage between the bones in the knee wears down. This causes the bones to rub against each other and cause pain.

Injuries:

ACL Tear: Damage to the ligaments (the fibrous part that supports the knee) in sports or accidents can cause severe pain.

Meniscus Injury: Injuries to the cushion-like part inside the knee.

Obesity:
When the body weight increases, the knees feel all the pressure. Excess weight accelerates the wear and tear on the knee and increases pain.

Arthritis:

Rheumatoid Arthritis: This is a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the knee joints.

Gout: Increased uric acid in the blood causes the formation of crystals in the joints and severe pain.

Muscle weakness:
If the thigh muscles (Quadriceps) are weak, the knee has to struggle more to support the weight of the knee. This leads to pain.

Lifestyle:
Working while sitting all day, going up and down stairs excessively, and exercising excessively can affect the knee.
