Headaches are a major health problem that bothers most people of all ages. While some are caused by normal fatigue, others can be a symptom of other diseases in the body. Here are the main factors that cause headaches:
Stress & Tension: One of the most common causes of headaches is severe stress and lack of adequate sleep. Tension headaches are caused by tension in the muscles of the brain and neck due to stress or anxiety at work.
Dehydration: Not drinking enough water is a major cause of headaches. When the body is dehydrated, the blood vessels in the brain temporarily constrict, causing a severe headache.
Migraine: A migraine is a severe throbbing pain that occurs on only one side of the head. Bright light, excessive noise, certain foods, or strong smells of perfumes can quickly trigger migraine pain. This can be accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
