Main causes of neck pain

Poor Posture: Continuously working on a computer or mobile phone while hunched over (Text Neck) puts excessive pressure on the muscles in the neck.

Muscle Strain: Sleeping in the wrong way, increasing/decreasing the height of the pillow, and sudden movements cause muscle strain.

Age and wear and tear (Cervical Spondylosis): As we age, the wear and tear of the discs in the spine causes neck pain.

Injuries: A sudden shock to the neck (Whiplash) in car accidents or falls can cause pain.

Spinal problems (Nerve Compression): If the discs in the neck are pushed out (Disc Prolapse) and put pressure on the nerves, the pain can spread to the arms.

Stress: Unconscious tightening of the neck muscles due to tension and anxiety can cause pain.
