Watery eyes, constant sneezing, and discomfort in the throat and nose are problems that bother many people. This is called ‘Allergic Rhinitis’. The main causes are:
Dust Mites in the air: Microscopic organisms found in dust particles indoors and outdoors cause allergies. When you breathe them in, you experience itching in the nose and throat and sneezing.
Pollen Allergy: Pollen from plants and flowers spread through the wind causes this type of allergy. This is more common when the weather changes (especially during the flowering season).
Pets: The hair and skin cells (dander) of cats and dogs kept indoors can spread through the air and cause itchy eyes and shortness of breath.
Smoke and odors: Strong odors from vehicles, sandalwood, perfumes, and paint can irritate the respiratory tract and cause red, watery eyes.
Mold: Molds that grow on damp walls and in bathrooms can cause severe allergy symptoms when inhaled.
