Are hemorrhoids bothering you? 5 important ways to get relief and prevent them

Hemorrhoids, a condition in which the blood vessels in the anus become swollen, can be treated to some extent through a healthy lifestyle and diet. Things to keep in mind are:

High Fiber Diet: Constipation is the main enemy of hemorrhoids. Including a lot of fiber in your diet will help soften the stool and eliminate it without pain. Make a habit of eating spinach, legumes, oats, and fruits.

Drink plenty of water: Dehydration in the body can cause hard stools. Drinking at least 3 liters of water daily will help ease digestion and reduce pressure in the anus.

Sitz Bath: Taking a tub of warm water and sitting in it for 10-15 minutes (Sitz Bath) will help reduce swelling and pain in the anus. This is great for increasing blood flow and preventing infection.

Exercise and rest: Regular exercise will facilitate bowel movement. However, heavy lifting should be avoided. Avoid sitting in one place for long periods and get up and walk around occasionally to reduce pressure on the blood vessels.

Good habits: Do not postpone the urge to defecate when you feel like it. Sitting on the toilet for a long time and straining can worsen the condition.
