The most important sense for lizards and other reptiles is their sense of smell. The sensors in their noses can detect strong odors very quickly.
Strong Menthol Odor: The main ingredients in Vicks, menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus oil, have a very strong odor. Although it is pleasant to humans, this smell is unbearable for the sensitive noses of lizards.
Irritation: These strong chemical fumes cause mild irritation to the respiratory system of lizards. They cannot stand the smell and leave the area.
How to do this? (Practical Way)
Top up: Apply some Vicks near windows, above doors, and near light bulbs where wasps are most common.
Cotton balls: Apply a little Vicks to cotton balls and place them in corners and hidden areas where wasps congregate.
Spray mixture: Dilute Vicks with a little water and spray it on windows and walls to keep wasps away.
Things to note:
This is a temporary solution: Once the smell of Vicks wears off, the wasps are likely to come back. So it will need to be reapplied periodically.
Does not kill wasps: This is only a natural repellent and does not kill wasps.
Allergies: If you have pets or small children at home, be aware of whether the smell bothers them.
