Main reasons for dandruff
Malassezia fungus: Malassezia is a type of fungus that is naturally found on the surface of the scalp. In some people, this fungus grows excessively and breaks down the oil on the scalp excessively. This causes the skin to flake off quickly.
Seborrheic Dermatitis: This is the biggest cause of dandruff. This is a condition in which oily red patches and yellow or white scales appear on the scalp.
Dry Skin: When the scalp does not have enough moisture, the skin dries out and flakes off like small flakes. This is more common in the winter.
Use of hair products: Excessive use of shampoo, hair gel, spray, and dye causes allergies on the scalp and leads to dandruff.
Unhygienic: The accumulation of oil and dirt due to not washing your head frequently helps the fungus grow.
Stress: Excessive mental stress can lower the body’s immunity and worsen skin diseases, especially dandruff.
