The main reasons for diabetes are as follows:

Reasons for diabetes
Insulin malfunction:

Type 1 diabetes: This is a condition in which the pancreas stops producing insulin completely. This is mostly caused by the body’s immune system attacking the pancreas (Autoimmune).

Type 2 diabetes: A condition in which the body cannot use the insulin it produces effectively (Insulin Resistance) or does not produce enough insulin. This is the case for 90 percent of diabetics.

Obesity and lack of exercise:
Excess fat in the body, especially belly fat, prevents insulin from working properly (Insulin Resistance). Lack of exercise slows down the rate at which glucose in the blood reaches the cells.

Genetics:
If your parents or siblings have diabetes, you are more likely to develop it.

Unhealthy diet:
Processed foods, excessive sweets, sugary drinks, and foods with flour can quickly raise blood sugar levels and put excessive stress on the pancreas.

Stress:
Continuous stress causes the body to produce hormones like cortisol. This can increase blood sugar levels.

Age and lifestyle:
Although the risk of diabetes increases with age, nowadays even children and young people are being diagnosed with diabetes due to an unhealthy lifestyle.

Main symptoms:
Excessive thirst.

Frequent urination (especially at night).

Increased hunger and fatigue.

Slow healing of wounds.

Sudden weight loss.
